UNIT PLANNER | ABU DHABI

Altrad Babcock is seeking an experienced Unit Planner to support a major Turnaround (TA) project in Abu Dhabi.
This is an immediate opening for a candidate with strong experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical maintenance, Turnaround and Shutdown planning.

Key Responsibilities
Review and validate detailed Turnaround work lists and work orders to ensure all required tasks and activities are complete and clearly defined.

Conduct field verification of job scopes to determine the required manpower, crafts, resources, materials and estimated durations.
Develop and maintain detailed activity plans, ensuring resources and materials are available to support timely execution.
Verify material requirements against approved work orders and field-verified activities.

Maintain and update logs for changes, additions and other information related to the Turnaround work list.
Prepare and maintain work permits for Turnaround activities in accordance with approved work orders and site requirements.

Identify and follow up on post-Turnaround activities and ensure completion in accordance with the approved schedule.
Develop and maintain detailed Level 4 Primavera P6 schedules, including resource loading, activity relationships, scheduling, levelling, progress updating and reporting during the Pre-TA and TA Execution phases.
Technical Requirements Good knowledge of Operations and Maintenance activities, particularly static equipment. Ability to understand and interpret equipment drawings, P&IDs and technical documentation. Strong technical understanding to assess work scope, resources, materials and execution requirements.
Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6, preferably the latest version, for major Shutdown and Turnaround scheduling, monitoring and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications ;
Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, OR Higher Diploma/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

Relevant experience must include Oil & Gas / Petrochemical maintenance and Turnaround/Shutdown planning. Key Skills Turnaround & Shutdown Planning Level 4 Primavera P6 Scheduling Work Order
